About Us
Over five years ago I gave up my full-time job as a headteacher in Somerset and became a potter.
My garage was converted to a beautiful light and airy ceramics studio, where I now spend a great deal of my time. Being creative and working to create unique pieces is really important to me.
I specialise in porcelain ceramics. Exploring; slab-work, mould making and using; stains splatter, gold lustre and decals to add the finishing touches to some of my work.
Since I was a child, I have always designed and made things. When my children were young I had a small textile business, designing, making and selling children’s clothes. Then for many years my career took over. It has only been since I finished in education that I seriously took up a creative life style.
My company is run from the studio where I live in Somerset UK. I am so proud to live in Somerset, it is a great county which is really beautiful and there is so much going on art-wise.
When you are creative, inspiration is key. I visit various exhibitions and museums when ever possible not only to get inspiration but also to learn. We have Open Art Studios annually, locally and currently I am very involved with the management and running of this. I also sell at local art fairs and shops.
